Why do I use OGG and not MP3 ?

MP3 is a closed and copyrighted format, and encoding a sound, whatever it is, in MP3, without paying royalties is illegal. But OGG (Ogg Vorbis) is a new filetype, and open source.

Using this format is very very difficult 'cause you know, we hackers like difficulties. Ogg is for the l33+, the pure hardcore unix user, who's not using graphical operating systems. We usually need command lines like : c:/progra~1/truk/alphax7 -oggvor~1 /s+1 init=0 file='\bibi.ogg\' autoload

So I'm gonna explain you, but be careful it's very hard :

1. Get winamp (www.winamp.com)
2. Double click on in_vorbis.exe
3. That was hard ! ^^

Note : newest winamp should handle ogg (no need for the in_vorbis.exe)

So, ogg is the future of the music. It's free and better than MP3 for quality and streaming. Encode all you sounds in OGG and make disappear MP3 from earth.
